End of a busy half=term!
What a busy time you all have had, it started with settling into year 6 which you all did fantastically well. You all worked well and hard a the work and homework. There was the four days away at PGL which you all enjoyed, taking part in the abseiling, kayaking, archery, rifle shooting, quads and a great fancy dress party! Also, some of us went to Rock and River where you took part in kayaking, leap of faith and climbing on the climbing wall. Rachaels dad reached the top of the leap of faith and jumped off touching the hanging ball – congratulations Mr Williams! Then came the trip to Formby Pinewoods, it was a lovely windy day, in the afternoon it changed to sunny weather – we all walked for miles!! The whole school took part in the fundraising day for the NSPCC and CHILDLINE, well done to you all, we raised neary £3000 in money with a few more envelopes to come in. Jayne from NSPCC was thrilled to bits. The new school council were elected, Lewis and Jessica represented 6R well on our visit the NSPCC centre in Liverpool, what a good time we had, looking at the valuable work they do there. We ended the term off with a World War II day, the outfits you wore were great.
Well you all have a great half-term, keep safe, warm and healthy. Don’t forget to change your clocks to winter time.
See you next week,
from Mrs Hardwick
